Women are stronger than they think they are. Not only are they responsible for bringing children unto this earth, but they also constitute half of the work force. It is very inspiring that many women do their best to empower themselves and other women as well through lots of activities. One way to do it is to work out.

Contrary to popular belief, working out isn’t just about losing weight. People who work out and exercise regularly radiate a certain glow in them, making them feel better about themselves and making them more efficient at work and at home. As the saying goes, it is not the years in your life that counts – it’s the life in your years that do! Women can add years to their lives – and life to their years for that matter – by sticking to a healthy diet and being faithful to an exercise regimen.
With increasing demands from their work and occupation, women seldom find time to go to the gym and work out. Even worse, they may find the motivation to go to the gym once they start to feel that their love problems are already more than what they can handle, but eventually lose interest because of the rigors of the workouts they go through.
Therefore, it is imperative that women enjoy their workout routine. Here are some examples of workout activities that women can enjoy:

1. Aerobics – This can range from dancing, jogging, walking, and even swimming. Aerobics has been proven to be most effective in eliminating fat and stress.
2. Pilates - This type of workout focuses on slow and controlled movements to strengthen the core of the body. Most Pilates routines take only 15-30 minutes and there are inexpensive Pilates DVDs out there.
3. Weight Lifting – Weight lifting helps a lot in toning your muscles. Contrary to what people think, weight lifting is important for women as well, not because it gives you the same muscle mass men have, but weight lifting also helps you burn fat faster and does a good job of ‘sculpting’ your body, thus emphasizing your natural curves.
